Brannek

A Human Fighter 6
An ex-sergant of the Thranian military, Brannek deserted after a brief tour in the war. The deposition of the royal line of Thrane and (from Brannek's perspective) the hardline zealotry of the Church of the Silver Flame, was enough to push him away from his homeland. Brannek was given orders by his company cleric to patrol the border lands near Karrnath and Breland in an effort to round up lycanthropes and return them to his legion fort. Orders were given to collect all lycanthropes, which seemed odd that the werebears would be included. After all, they kept to themselves and actually controlled the more dangerous beasts of the forests. Orders were orders after all and Brannek returned with over three score of various lycans. The fort Chaplin commended him and his platoon and told him that all would be "purified by the flame, ahmen." Brannek was horrified that he brought all of these people to their death. That night Brannek left his legion fort as the pyres faded behind him and fled to Breland. Once in Breland he took up various strong-arm jobs and bodyguard duties for nobles. At first it wasn't all bad, as it put distance between his memories of the lycan purge and gave him time to learn about Dwarves, which had always been a source of curiousity. This line of work was far to boring for Brannek and he soon fell into lethargy. In a final effort to find some excitement in his life, Brannek traveled to Sharn. There he meet Codee, who invited him into the Sharn Collection Agency.
Brannek prides himself for keeping a level head in tight situations. His focus and combat expertise make him a tough target for any enemy to hit. Being a pragmatist Brannek holds no sentimental feelings to his old army gear. Whatever will keep him alive and his enemies dead is what concerns him the most. Despite his sense of practicality, Brannek tends to be brash and somewhat lacking in tact. His ability to survive combat, after combat relatively unscathed as served to bolster his already impressive ego. However, it is this sense of invulnerability that has lead him to place his life in danger to protect his friends.
+1 Full Plate Armor: +9 AC, +1 Max DEX, -4 Check Penalty Brannek's most prized possession, next to his sword, is his plate armor. After all, a pile of fallen enemies doesn't amount to much if your corpse is amongst them. Brannek distains the Karrnathi nature of the armor and is working to personalize it with Dwarven runes.
+1 Bastard Sword: +11/+8 Attack Bonus, 1d10+6 damage A big sword doesn't help if it doesn't hit the monster. At least that is what Brannek's drill instructor taught him back in Thrane (Brannek doesn't mind teasing Codee and her greatsword with that piece of wisdom either). To that end he has focused on his ability to hit his target rather than attempt to maximize the damage he deals.
